Body Presentation

Body Presentation

Reading and Writing Activity
Yesterday, students studied about reviewing parts of body. They had some activities with their friends. First, students had puzzle activity to drill and review parts of body and they did this in pair. Each pair was given ten minutes to finish the puzzle, students with the most answer were the winner. After that, they had to read and memorize all the answers of the puzzle in two minutes. Then, they wrote names of body part on a picture. The next activity was labeling his/her partner using sticky paper and presented the label of body parts in front of their friends. One presented the names of parts of body and another showed the part of body presented, for example, "Hello, this my body, this is my eyes" (the labeled student blinked her/his eyes). The last was reading and writing activities related to the topic.
Doing these activities yesterday, students had lots of fun and challenge.

Body Presentation
Note: Labeling activity is written by Flavia Amorim Sperando from Brazil, but in this class, the activity is applied in different form and mixed with other activities.

"Bakul ethek"

The seller is ready to go around selling his goods

Traditional market near my house

There are crackers, snacks, tofu, 'tempe' (soybean paste), vegetable, etc.
Early in the morning near my house, there is a traditional market. We usually calls this "Pasar Shubuh" because it opens at dawn and starts from 3.00 a.m to 6.00 a.m. There are many sellers and buyers who sell and buy everything to fill daily needs. One of the special things here is a seller who sells many kinds of daily needs (vegetable, meat, fish, tofu, soybean paste, fruit, traditional food, etc) using a booth from wood or bamboo as a big container put on the motorcycle and then he/she goes around some places offering those things. In Trenggalek regency, Indonesia, it is commonly called "bakul ethek". Would you please tell us what is the correct word or synonym in English of such kind of a seller?
